The Modern Tech Stack: What We Use and Why
Technology choices should serve the project, not the other way around. That said, a few tools have earned a permanent place in our default stack because they consistently deliver the best balance of speed, performance and maintainability.
On the front end, React with Next.js remains our default for anything that needs strong SEO and fast initial load — server-side rendering and static generation give us Google-friendly pages without sacrificing the interactivity of a modern app. For pure client-side product dashboards, Vite-powered React works beautifully.
For mobile, React Native continues to be the right call for the vast majority of apps — one codebase, native performance, and a huge ecosystem of libraries. We reach for Flutter or fully native Swift/Kotlin only when a project has specific platform-level requirements.
On the backend, Node.js and PostgreSQL form the backbone of most custom software builds, deployed on AWS or GCP with CI/CD pipelines that make shipping updates routine rather than risky. For e-commerce, Shopify remains unbeatable for speed-to-market, with headless builds reserved for brands that have outgrown its theme constraints.
The common thread across every choice: boring, well-supported technology, chosen deliberately, beats trendy tools chosen by default.
